Payments and Cancellations
Refund Policy
This refund and cancellation page is written for Kumbida Likha's current custom digital invite workflow. It aims to be clearer and fairer for clients while still protecting work already rendered.
1. Nature of the service
Kumbida Likha provides custom digital services. Because work typically begins with consultation, concepting, design setup, revisions, and project coordination, payments are not treated the same way as returns for mass-produced physical goods.
This policy is meant to set a fair baseline for custom invitation projects, without limiting any non-waivable consumer rights under applicable Philippine law.
2. Project-specific agreements control
If your quotation, invoice, proposal, or signed project agreement states a more specific payment, cancellation, or refund rule, that project-specific rule will control.
3. Reservation payments and down payments
A reservation payment or down payment may be required to secure production time and begin work. Unless otherwise stated in writing, such payment may be applied to administrative work, scheduling, discovery, concepting, and initial production effort already committed to your project.
4. When refunds may be available
A full or partial refund may be considered when:
- Kumbida Likha cannot start or deliver the project for reasons within its reasonable control.
- The client cancels before substantial work has begun and before major third-party costs are incurred.
- A duplicate or erroneous payment is confirmed.
- The parties mutually agree to stop the project and settle based on work already completed.
5. When refunds are usually not available
Refunds are generally not available once any of the following has occurred:
- Design work, content layout, customization, or production has substantially begun.
- The client has approved a draft for publication, launch, or final turnover.
- The project has been delivered, published, or transferred to the client.
- Third-party costs such as domain, hosting, paid media storage, or other non-recoverable expenses have already been incurred.
- The client changes plans, postpones the event, or becomes unresponsive after work has already been performed.
6. Partial refund approach
If a cancellation happens after work has started but before final delivery, Kumbida Likha may calculate any partial refund by deducting the value of work already rendered, approved milestones, and non-recoverable third-party costs. This is intended to be practical and proportionate rather than punitive.
7. Rebooking and event changes
Date changes, venue updates, name corrections, and other event revisions should be requested as soon as possible. Kumbida Likha may accommodate rebooking or edits depending on production status, workload, and the scope of the changes. Additional fees may apply for major rework or urgent updates.
8. How to request a refund review
Refund concerns should be raised promptly through the contact details on this site, together with the client name, event date, payment reference, and reason for the request. Kumbida Likha may ask for supporting records before evaluating the request.
9. Related policies
This policy should be read together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
