Data Privacy
Privacy Policy
This policy is designed as a practical website and project privacy notice for Kumbida Likha's current setup. It is written with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 in mind and focuses on how inquiries, client projects, and hosted invitation content are handled.
It should be updated again once your final business registration details, retention periods, and designated privacy contact are confirmed.
1. Who we are
Kumbida Likha provides digital invitations and hosted event microsites. For questions about this Privacy Policy or the handling of your personal data, you may contact us through the contact channels published on this site, including hello@kumbidalikha.com.
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data may be processed when you visit the site, send inquiries, commission a project, or access a hosted invitation page.
2. Personal data we may process
Depending on your interaction with the Services, we may process:
- Identity and contact details such as names, email addresses, and mobile numbers.
- Event information such as venue, schedule, entourage names, and public-facing announcements.
- Client-submitted media such as photos, videos, captions, social links, and music preferences.
- Transaction and support records such as quotations, invoices, approvals, revisions, and service messages.
- Technical usage data such as IP-related logs, browser or device data, and analytics events reasonably needed for site operations and security.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information, government IDs, financial account details, or children's data unless clearly necessary for the project and specifically requested through a lawful process.
3. Why we process data
We may process personal data to:
- Respond to inquiries and prepare proposals or quotations.
- Create, host, publish, maintain, and support digital invitations or event microsites.
- Coordinate revisions, approvals, and event-related updates.
- Protect the site, prevent misuse, and maintain service reliability.
- Comply with legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, or dispute-resolution obligations.
- Maintain a limited internal record of completed projects and client communications.
4. Lawful bases under Philippine law
In line with Republic Act No. 10173 and its implementing rules, we may rely on one or more lawful bases such as consent, the performance of a contract or steps requested before entering into a contract, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests that are not overridden by the rights of the data subject.
5. When data comes from clients about other people
Clients sometimes provide data about fiances, spouses, sponsors, family members, guests, entourage members, photographers, and other suppliers. When that happens, the client is responsible for ensuring that the disclosure is lawful, relevant, and limited to what is reasonably necessary for the project.
If you believe your data was published or submitted without proper authority, you may contact us so we can review, correct, restrict, or remove the affected material as appropriate.
6. Sharing of personal data
We do not sell personal data. We may share data only when reasonably necessary with:
- Hosting, CDN, analytics, domain, and infrastructure providers that help us run the Services.
- Communication tools such as email or messaging providers used to coordinate the project.
- Payment, accounting, legal, or professional advisers where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities or regulators when disclosure is required by law or lawful order.
- Third-party platforms linked or embedded at the client's request, such as Facebook, maps, or registry services.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the project, support obligations, legitimate business purposes, dispute handling, or compliance with applicable law. Public invitation content may remain accessible for the hosting period agreed with the client. Inquiry and project records may be retained for a reasonable period after project completion unless a longer retention period is required by law or needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
8. Security
We apply reasonable organizational, physical, and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and the size of the operation. However, no website, cloud platform, or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
If a notifiable personal data breach occurs, we will act in a manner consistent with applicable Philippine law and relevant National Privacy Commission guidance.
9. Your rights
Subject to the Data Privacy Act and its limits, you may have the right to be informed, access your data, correct inaccuracies, object to certain processing, request erasure or blocking where applicable, and lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
Requests may be sent to hello@kumbidalikha.com. We may ask for enough information to verify the request before acting on it.
10. Third-party sites and embeds
Hosted invitations may link to or embed third-party services such as Facebook, maps, music, messaging apps, or vendor pages. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their separate practices.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. The latest version posted on this page will apply from its stated effective date.
